MAGNUM recently completed a large project at the new Hospital which entailed live rigging 50 large air handling units using onsite tower crane thru a wall opening on level 5. These units were then rolled to different locations thru out the building where they jacked onto pads for final assembly. Additionally 4 large 24,000 lb roof top chillers were hoisted to the roof with a 270 ton crane and then had to be rolled across the building and jacked up and slid onto 4 foot curbs.
MAGNUM completed this project in 2015 at Langara College where a 500 ton crane was utilized to hoist sections of a large mechanical building. Due to the access MAGNUM’s crews required the 500 ton to place the sections over 200′ from the roof edge with the heaviest weighing 36,000 pounds. Once the units were in place our crews completed assembly of the structure.
