MAGNUM Industrial Services was contracted to assist in the removal and replacement of 3 new motor generators for BC Hydro in Masset, Queen Charlotte Islands. This project was done in 2 phases with the removal of the 3 existing units done in July and installation of the new units completed in August of 2009.
The units were brought by lowbed to Prince Rupert and barged to Masset. A 165 ton hydraulic crane was also brought to complete the hoisting. The new generators were offloaded and the old units loaded in less than 24 hrs.
